MuSNet Project

MuSNet Project

A little ecosystem for low latency Networked Music Performances

Acronym of Music Sharing Network, MuSNet is an open source project whose mission is to create a little ecosystem for Networked Music Performances.
Based on the client-server architecture, by relying on a particular ad hoc defined communication protocol the system allows musicians to reciprocally share music material in quasi-real time using the internet.
The implementation process has been carried out using C++ and has eventually yielded a multithreaded monolithic application plus a simple interface class, respectively for the server and client side. This last mentioned class has been, then, used to develop a client application by means of the JUCE framework, which has ensured – on its side – cross-platform compatibility and flexibility of use.
